The teams after the dual
The dual with Grundy was a unique experience for the ISARIA team and the accompanying parents and friends. The bleachers were filled with an enthusiastic crowd cheering on its favorite wrestlers and applauding the wins of either team. The evening started with a presentation of the American and German flags by the Color Guard (see picture), followed by the two National Anthems. The Stars Spangled Banner was sung by Hannah Hennighausen (see picture), a freshman from Bethesda Chevy-Chase HS in Maryland. The wrestlers exchanged presents and an exciting 3 hours of matches was to follow. The dual with the Grundy team was spectacular and after superb matches the ISARIA team prevailed with 19 wins over the wrestlers from the Apalachians with 8 wins. After the event, both teams, the parents and the coaches continued the evening in the "Italian Village" to celebrate the day.

After a short night, wrestlers, host parents and the families met in the Comfort Inn to say good bye. The first stop of the ISARIA USA tour was a true success in getting to learn about a new country, its culture and people.
