Cougar Relays @ Quince Orchard HS

On a cool day, the Cougar Relay at Quince Orchard HS brought out the best in the BCC Track and Field team and was a great success. Notably our girls captured one gold and one silver. In a field of 23 strong runners Megan Andrews captured first place and Emily Bartlett came in fourth in the 1600 meter. In the 4x800 our girls (Megan, Emily, Zarah and DeeDee) yielded only to the strong Damascus team and captured the silver. Over the same distance the boys (Elias, Patrick, David. B. and Zack H.) came in 10th in a field of 17.

BCC's strength in the long distances was further supported in the Distance Medleys, with the girls (Krista, Susan, Rebecca, Hannah H.) capturing 6th place and the boys (Patrick, Michael, Elias, Aaron) coming in 8th in a field of 16 strong teams.

Great strides were made by our sprinters, in a field dominated by the best in the county. In the 4x400 the boys won their heat and the girls came in 3rd in their heat. In the 4x200 both the boys (Brian, Michael, Akatu and Dan L.) and the girls (Shadi, Lynn, Kelly and Susan S.) finished 3rd in their heat.

Last but not least, Aaron Vaslow, finished 6th in the grueling Devil's Race. Great race Aaron and see you again next year!

Congratulations to the team and the coaches.
